stories and experiences

The owner of Paco (formly known as Frosty) had the following to say:

"...every morning we have wild turkeys in our yard.  He loves to chase them out and its good training for him.  He has stayed true to the breed, very smart and easily trained!  I just have so much fun with him, he still gets into his own trouble with new stuff, but that's a puppy for ya."

"I am working him with my horse and soon with other horses. He is so easy to work with and picks up new skills quick."

The owner of Jill had the following to say:

"When Jill is outside playing and someone drives into the drive way. Jill now does "porch" that means she has to run to the porch until the person is parked and their door is open... Jill is so smart! It took me two days to get that trained in her. And she does it EVERYTIME."

" This puppy's nose is amazing.  You know that we live on a 168 acre pear farm...she is pretty confined to about 5 acres of it... BUT if there is a dead anything, anywhere...this puppy will find it!  I can't begin to tell you how many dead birds...dead mice...dead I don't know what they were...she has trotted into the house with.  She even managed to kill a baby mole herself and decided that she should keep that one.  We usually take them away from her and throw them where she can't get to them and usually that's the end of it.  Well last weekend, I turned around and she was across the yard and she was pushing dirt around with her nose (like she had buried something).  I walked up there and pushed the dirt around with my foot and couldn't see anything..... I stopped for a second and she rushed in and started digging real fast...sure enough...she grabbed the half live mole out of the dirt and RAN into the house with it......  I guess she had grown tired of us throwing her prizes away and decided that she'd better start burying them so we couldn't find them.  I just happen to catch her with this one."

The owner of Jill purchased Sussie for her parents and so the stories are second hand:

"My Mom and Dad thinks that her color is so beautiful... but then again....they think this is the most beautiful dog that has ever walked the planet! A great match.  My father has lost 20 lbs since Sussie has entered their lives...simply becuase he loves to be outside on the property walking around with her."

"If you see the pictures of Sussie outside with her nose to the ground...she is weeding!  she finds clumps of weeds... she grabs them, pulls them out of the ground...shakes off the dirt and goes onto the next clump of weeds.  Mom says it’s really cute when she’s picking weeds and not her favorite plants.  Sussie doesn't seem to care if its weeds or flowers or ground cover... she just likes to pull all the stuff out of the ground!  It was hilarious to watch her.  She is a doll Kim...Just a doll. And so well behaved."

The owner Woody (formly known as George) had the following to say:

"... as you can see he has turned out to be very beautiful. His coloring is really nice... he loves us dearly."

"We were recently in Reno taking a walk with Woody when a young man asked if we were alright. He thought because of Woody's size that we would have a problem but we assured him that we were quiet right, since he is just as sweet today as he was when we picked him up." (note Woody took after his father of which is a larger Australian Cattle Dog - at 1 year of age Woody weighed in at 56 lbs)
